Default Lead Frame Replacement 6r80 Trans

Anyone have their lead frame replaced. Trans control module? I have a 2012 FX4 v8 5.0 and I had the programming recall done and now I keep triping the OSS. so Im sure I need to replace the lead frame. Anyone have an idea of what it cost to have it done at the dealer or a shop?? I know the part can be expensive depending where you get it.

Thanks to any feedback.

Dealer probably over $1000, shops probably $700-1000. You are over 200k miles, right? That is outside the warranty program, but arguing it sometimes works.

Looks like Rock doesn't have them, anymore. I seem to recall them being much cheaper. But:

I agree though about it more I can diy it. I have found it pretty cheap at amazon for 174 bucks. I was just wondering as my wife is worried I will break Pan Bolts but all I see no one is complaining abou breaking them and they are just going for in their videos. I dont think I have anything to worry about. It was only doing it here and there now pretty much every time I drive it so I gotta get it done. Dont want to ruin trans..... actually does not seem that hard really. but again from what Im seeing I dont think have to worry about the pan bolts on a '12. I had the recall done where they reprogrammed it a while back. I was thinking about fighting it but I agree Im at 203k so.....
Thanks Spiky

I just had mine done but under enxtended warranty. Was originally going have a transmission shop do it. They quotes $500 parts and labor. The part is around $100 plus add fluid, gasket, filter and a new connector with gasket. I watched a video on it, looks like the hardest part is not getting the valve body screws confused. There are 2 different sizes.

Need an inch-lb torque wrench to do it right.

RLXXI -

not worried about it....my air gun goes to 600FT lbs....I'll get it in there..and cross threaded at that...nothing like a good crossthread to hold it in there.

My brothers and I always say....wrench it down till it starts to get easier (strip out)....then back off 1/2 turn. Good to go!!

we also say when it comes to finish work.....we're finished......

It’s cheap. Buy the parts yourself, and have the dealer install.

If that's your version of sarcasm, keep trying, you'll get it right one day.

That wasn't sarcasm, just a joke.

Where can I find it? my truck has been in the dealer for 3 weeks now, and they say they haven't even ordered the part, estimating 2 months or more. When I called they didn't even know my truck was on their lot still, but wont release back to me for safety reasons and won't give a loaner.
