Bringing down a passenger vehicle isn't too costly, just lot's and lot's of paperwork. As stated, since the Dollar is so low up here, trucks (and cars) are being shipped south by the semi-load.

Actually, hardly anything. In regard to an F150 since it is made in the states it is duty free. It has to meet DOT regs (again, made in the states) the undercarriage must be clear of foreign soil or sealed and must meet Emissions which could differ by your location. You will be subject to state taxes and fees.

6.2 is no longer available. Current lineup in the 15-16 is a N/A V6, 5.0, and 2 ecos.

Being in Buffalo we have a few used car dealers that sell mostly Canadian vehicles. Went in one day to test drive a Frontier and was like wait, this isn't right. He explained there are a few subtle differences in the vehicles.

I've shipped numerous of my trucks down south myself. You only need 3 forms (registration, bill of sale, compliance letter from Ford) to import a Canadian truck. It takes me 10 minutes to do.

For the price you pay for a new XLT in the US, you can get a slightly used FX4/Lariat/King Ranch/Platinum in Canada.

Probably would have been fine with the kids- they wouldn't have been near your driveway- they wouldn't have wanted to look at the nose of that thing either...

I've been on this forum since late last year and was set on buying a 2016 SCrew around summer 2016. Before that, I was going back and forth between the new Tacomas and the F150's.

Then just last month, I came across a 2012 XLT SCrew with only 14,700 miles. The truck had the bells and whistles I needed and at a very good price. 4" Pro-Comp lift, 20" wheels with 35/12.5 Toyo MT's. I pulled the trigger and took the truck home last week and couldn't be happier. Saved about $15-18K and much lower monthly and insurance payments. I'm not complaining and the wife isnt either.

I'm really hoping to find a loaded FX4 that is leveled with a cap. Their out there. Once I get home I can get real aggressive in shopping for it.
