What your hemorrhoids botherring you?
Anticorrosion "treatments" are BS plain and simple.
Best anticorrosion treatment and the only one proven to work is to wash your truck often and well. Any gooey material hanging from the parts will simply trap salt which would oterwise dissolve with a good wash. Just a simple fact. Pig steel parts will corrode just a matter of chemistry. Most of the main undercarriage components are either powdercoated or made of corrosion resistant metals, no goo is going to make a difference. BTW the whole body is zinc plated the goo will make even less of a difference there.
Save your money for other mods that really work.

Whenever we put farm equipment up for winter time, we'd pressure wash it really well and spray a 2:1 used oil and diesel fuel mix. Its basically the same thing it seems to me.

I keep my cars and trucks for 10 years usually. I used to get them coated, but haven't for the past few. The difference I notice is it does prolong the corrosion under the vehicle but that doesn't affect me at all for the 10 years I use it. It just looks better for a longer period. The door and panel treatments, IMO, are just helping the next owner of my truck. 10 years and every vehicle, whether it is coated or not, has a little rust blisters starting along the lower seams of the doors (inside) or along the lower fender panels. I do like the looks of the coated vehicles but I get no more trade in allowance either way. $139/year for 10 years = $1390 I could use on the down payment of the next one. But after saying all that I do spray Fluid Film in the doors and along the lower seams and panel edges. It creeps real well and it does wonders on my fertilizer spreaders which are normally rust magnets.

Love Turbo V6 & Coyote V8
Krown rust control is different then 'most' other rust proofing systems. I have used crown for several years and it works amazing, my buddies had has a 1990 mazda mpv which is sprayed every year and it still looks almost new. this stuff also helps keep all the electrical connections rust free. when repair work needs to be done, it helps with keep nuts andd bolts from rusting to each other. This stuff really is great stuff. I am surprised that they haven't gone down south. In London ontario, alot of city vehicles get it done and have been doing so for several years. This stuff is not a rubberised coating or a thick booger type stuff, this is just a thin film which keeps moisture away. This time of year is the best time to get this stuff applied as it has time before the winter to seep into the small crevaces(sp?) to coat everything. You cannot get a no drip application from Krown as they don't work since it only protects where it applied. Hence why Krown is a drip type of application.

Well, from my personal experience this is simply not true. You can wash your truck in the winter all you want but the water mixes with the salt and I can guarantee you this salt water solution ends up sitting up in the crevices that you can't get to. You need to treat the surfaces for proper protection.
Anyways, whatever works for you. Krown works for me so I'm going to stick with it.

What about rubberized asphalt undercoating? Any good? The local shops here use diamond kote. I can't find anyone that does oil type undercoating. I would have to go for a 2 hour drive to the nearest krown dealer.

Stop being so negative! Yes undercoating isn't neccessary, it's strictly for looks. Rust underneath does no harm but it looks like ***. I would much rather look at a nice black undercarriage than a rusty one.
