Default Key stuck in ignition

I have a 2011 XLT with column shift. After moving the truck last night couldn't remove the key from the ignition after shutting it off. The steering wheel was straight and the truck was level. Had to start and go through the gears about a dozen times until the key came out. Had driven the truck earlier and made several stops with no problems. Ignition works smooth with no problems turning to start. I've seen some other posts about this but no one ever came back with a solution to the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe the cylinder needs a little silicone lube?

Stuck was the wrong choice of word. When you turn off the motor and turn the ignition back it doesn't go all the way. This prevents the key from coming out. The motor shuts off but something is keeping the ignition from seating completely. And it's intermittent. Doesn't do it all the time.

Did you try jiggling the steering wheel? Sometimes the opposite happens in vehicles when you try to put the key in and it won't turn the cylinder at all. A good jiggle there usually gets it to work.

The cylinder turns fine. And yes it goes all the way into park.

Each time the key wouldn't come out was when I just went to move a short distance in the driveway. Today I moved it a few feet to clear snow and let it run for a good 20 minutes. But when I shut it down the cylinder would not seat and the key would not come out. So I took a short drive around town, came back and it worked fine. This is what happened a few days ago to. Started in the driveway, shut it down, key wouldn't come out. Took a drive and it came right out. It's freaky but this is what's happening.
