I have the factory 4 button fobs with keys. Each fob has a key attached. Both keys manually unlock the door and 1 fob will unlock the door electronically the second one won't and that's why I'm trying to go to program mode to program it.. Going thru the process to put the electronics in program mode fails. Simply I can't get into program mode. I hope this clarifys my situation. TIA

Okay let me ask this:
Put first PATS key in and turn to "Run" for approx 6 seconds
Turn first key to off
Within 10 seconds insert second PATS key and turn to run for approx 6 seconds
Turn second PATS key to off
The doors should lock then unlock
Within 10 seconds hit "lock" on unprogrammed fob

Is this what you're doing?

This doesn't say anything about it but as far as the 6 seconds I know I went longer because YouTube says it will work and it did when I programmed an extra key.
I have read those who posted stating they had to be in the seat with their belt fastened.
Also, like my seat belt I had something different happen with the key in that the doors didn't lock/unlock until I programmed the 3rd key I'm pretty sure, so you might try the fob after taking out the 2nd key even if the doors don't lock/unlock.

If this doesn't work I have also read their is a provision to disable programming keys with a scan tool. This may be what has happened?

The only thing I can suggest before taking it to a shop is take the fob apart and look for any burned places but that still doesn't explain why truck won't go to program mode with the above instructions unless that is disabled.

I know this is all pretty sketchy but maybe this will help eliminate some options before you have to dig in your wallet.

Since nobody asked yet ... what programming sequence are you using to try to program the fob portions of the keys?
