Default K&N air filter

Is anyone using this filter? If so, can you tell an increase in HP or gas mileage?

The whole cold air intake? Or just the drop in filter?

I put in the S&B cold air intake system and got about 1 1/2 mpg increase plus better throttle response. I'm told that if you use a ram air hood it will improve some more.

I got better throttle response with an aftermarket filter. Slightly more torque. My main reason for upgrading is for sound.

I use it with the gotts mod(removing the snorkel of the airbox) ended up with way better throttle response, and 1 more mpg.

Not bad for a lifetime $49 airfilter and the free gotts mod

Its just removng the airbox snorkel, that's behind the drivers side headlight. Allowing more air into the airbox.
