Update available now on Gen 2 Sync (2011 Models). This update resolved every issue I had and now I'm enjoying my Sync features!

The iphone is like all apple products. They work with other apple products, not so well with other brands. Apple has always been this way. This is why i love my droid, it works on SYNC and all bluetooth applications. Droids are made by all types of companies and all use googles operating system. There's one Iphone, and its made by Apple, and runs off an Apple operating system.

My SYNC works great with my blackjack phone. Music through USB also works, though it's file structure and voice recognition is sometimes error prone...

Being in technology the main issue I have with Sync is that it seems to be outdated very quickly. For example 2010 are version 3.1 and 2011 3.2.2 and this is not avail for the 2010, not that that is a bad thing with the issues presented in the 2011 models. Knowing how hardware is developed I am doubtful there is a difference HW wise between the 2. I will never buy it again sine it is not updated from older to newer models. If the HW is not updateable with firmware it is easily useless. More of a waste than new cellphones that are unupdateable after buying. Save your money go aftermarket

3.2.2 fixes issues specifically in the 2011's. You don't have the issue corrected.

I have an LG Cosmo phone that works pretty good with the sync system.The voice recongnition could be better. Dial is the only voice recongnition command that seems to work consistently. I have a passenger punch in the numbers manually.

So far what I've used of Sync it's worked good in my 2011 screw paired with my Blackberry.

Ain't got no use for a Iphone - since my main use is the PHONE, which totally sucks when you have to use it all over the country. Cost $350 to replace the windshield after I threw my ex-Iphone through it. Expensive temper tantrum.

No issues here. I use it all the time, mostly with USB2 connected to a memory stick.

Sync works great in my 2010 F150, 2010 Mustang GT and 2011 Fusion. My phone is a Samsung Captivate which is an android phone.
