is it just me, or does it seem 5.0 guys....

I just want everyone to get along...
Turbos are not crazy new unproven technology, if anything the direct injection is more so for gas engines.... both have that.

My feelings are hurt
You guys are totally leaving out the 3.7 guys!!!
I didnt really care which engine I got since all would suffice for my needs, but I found a 3.7 and I like it.
My only requirement was that it be FLEX. I dont think any of the EB are FLEX.
When only 15% ethanol gas is available anyone with a vehicle that cant run 15% IS NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY

Well either way it's a fun argument because GM and ram aren't offering anything that can touch these motors. Toyota didn't change their 2007 engine. The 2011 EB is still faster than the 2014 Ram, tows more and gets better "EPA" MPG. So we are having a civil war until the others catch up.

Facts:
1) The 5.0L does NOT have more power than the Ecoboost
2) The 5.0L sounds better for those that care about that
3) The Ecoboost has been the most problematic powertrain since introduction; almost entirely due to the Intercooler issue
4) The Ecoboost V6 100% belongs in a full sized pickup, and has brought performance to an entirely new level with the combo of mileage and power
If everyone stopped debating different sides to those obvious facts, the forum would be much more friendly.

Relax
All this talk about which engine is better is like kissing your sister. Sure you kissed a girl but do you go around bragging about it? :-)

I drove both and thought the Eco had more power but I bought the 5.0. My friend has a truck exactly like mine with the eco... Same everthing but the engine. At the end of the day who cares.... he paid a little more for his and mine sounds better. He gets a little better mileage than I do and niether one of us tow anything much. He has a little badge on the side that makes him look like a tree hugger and mine doesnt..
Niether of us race these trucks so who cares which one is faster... both get to the speed limit plenty fast enough. I like my 5.0 and he likes his Eco... I could really care less about anything else.

This thread is about the most useful 5.0 vs Ecoboost thread to date. Good facts. People always assume that V8 = more power and nobody can convince them otherwise.
Oh, and the " my tuned 5.0 is faster than a stock Ecoboost" argument is about the most retarded argument ever. That's just desperate.
