Default Just installed towing mirrors

And I'm in love with them, but there seems to be a slight problem with the wiring. When I use the controls to move either the left or right down, but move down and the puddle lights come on. Neither blinkers are working, and the puddle lights dont come on when the doors open. Is there some kinda of wiring I need to change? The oem wiring harness plugged right into the new mirrors with no problems.

Did your original mirrors have the puddle lamp feature?

Just because the plugs physically connected together doesn't mean the wiring is the same. What year is your truck? What year did the mirrors come off? If I remember correctly, ford switched the wiring in the newer mirrors so they only require 1 ground wire, and not separate for each function. It almost sounds as though your ground is not correct, and multiple functions are being powered at the same time.

I would go to www.tascaparts.com and review the wiring diagrams for the mirror upgrades. They have them all listed to show what needs to be where.

Good luck!

No my truck didn't have them before. They were bought brand new online from AM-AutoParts. My truck is a 2009 XLT, the stock mirrors that came off had power, heat, blinker, and auto dim. The mirrors that I replaced them with are in theory direct replacements for my old ones. Think they are made for 09-11's. Where on tasca do I find the wiring diagrams?

Here are the ones I bought;

after looking at it again, seems a bent pin the in passengar side mirror (puddle lap pin) was broke and bent...looks like it may have been causing a short of some sort. rehooked it up and everything works perfect expect for the puddle lamp on pass side (broken pin)
