My truck was used as well and had 3 months of Sirius for free. I didn't notice till right after I bought it, but some dealers do this with the used vehicles I suppose

You guys really don't get it do you. You can do anything you want, it does not affect the auto renewal. Give them a single use cc and they will bill you and send you to collections. Specifically tell them not to auto renew, and they will do it anyway and send you to collections.

They are along the most unethical companies ever and I wouldn't give them another dime.

However, their free trials suck because you only get 60 channels. Most of the channels I listen to aren't included.
OH, good to know. My wife was asking if it worked when i bought it but i had never tried till now.

How did you know about the free trial?

Yea, I will never use Sirius again. I tried to cancel many years ago, and they told me it was cancelled. Then they billed me for a whole year and my the time I noticed it had been a few months. When I called them they said they had no record of me cancelling and if I wanted to cancel I would have to send a letter in the mail, and I would only be refunded for the remaining months, even though I hadn't used it once. Slimy slimy business practice and I will never give them money again!

Do they have Faction on this trial? That's the only channel I really care about lol.
Sirius's corporate office deserves bricks thrown through every window.

Since people are talking about pros & cons of Sirius/XM - and I haven't seen it said yet - I STAND WITH ANT!

I pretty much only listened to ONE show back when I used to pay for this service - Opie & Anthony (costarring little Jimmy Norton). And occasionally tuned into some of the news / talk channels. But after the garbage they pulled firing Anthony Cumia - I'd never consider going back. (go ahead, judge me for listening to these immature bafoons - but they really had a lot of good talk/discussion for my peer group (40 - 50 year old males) mixed in with the goofiness.)

Ironically - when I pulled the trigger and purchased my leased truck - about the same time they fired Anthony - they re-activated the service for the free trial period (3 months I think). For grins, I've poked around here & there - and the sound quality is worse than I've ever heard and it seems like they've increased the frequency of commercials across the board. Very annoying.

Any any rate - don't want to start a debate about the show, or "howard vs O&A" or anything like that. I still like Opie & little Jimmy - but without Anthony - the show just "isn't the same". They all balanced each out really well.

So - besides the quality & billing issues mentioned by many others prior to my post here - because they caved in to liberal blogs/political correctness - while hypocritically providing programming that is worse then what they alleged against Mr Cumia - I'm a lifetime non-subscriber going forward.

They still offer the lifetime subscription if you ask. I think I was quoted at like $730 ish. Not bad but more than it used to be. I will be switching over to my old account. Ive been subscribing since 03ish.

Ok, here is my cancelation story. Since I travel between Las Vegas & VA for 6 months at a time, it doesn't pay to keep the factory radio in each of the vehicle's active when I'm not there, (2007 F150 & 2013 Escape in VA and 2008 F350 & 2009 Escape in Las Vegas) so I was using an old XM Roadie and moving it from vehicle to vehicle which worked fine until I misplaced the Roadie. About 3 weeks ago, I called in to cancel the service and the service rep (lady) said that she would send me a reconditioned Sirius Stratus 6 for $10.75 shipping & handling. She also said that they would apply the remaining time (October 20) on the Roadie towards the Stratus 6.
We went on vacation and the Stratus 6 was here when we got back together with a 3 month bill for $41.05. ( I never give them a credit card and pay the extra $2.00 for a paper bill. What surprised me was that they were charging for both the lost Roadie (which was paid through Oct. 20th) & the new Status 6. I called in to cancel everything and much to my surprise they refunded the total amount plus gave me an extra month for free to make up for the screw-up.
The key is to success is to talk nice but be insistent, and threaten to cancel if they do not agree. (As we say in the South, y'all can get more with sugar than vinegar. BTW, It you cancel get a cancellation number so that you can refute the billing should they mess up.
One last thing, I found the Roadie and am thinking about leaving one in Las Vegas and one in VA as we fly back & forth with summers (6 months) in VA and winters (6 months) in Las Vegas. LIFE IS GOOD!

I called for a new term of service, got what I wanted, and they agreed to send me a bill. I told them they'd never get my credit card info again.
