hello everyone, been lurking here for a few months now. I just bought a 2014 F150 XLT 5.0 Tuxedo Black Metallic, 302A package, i pick it up saturday morning, because of the great weather here in upstate ny my first mod is going to be a remote starter. I definately want the 200 series, ive looked but am not sure, does the 200 series fit the 2014's, what the difference between the bi-directional and the 200 series, is it the alarm?. I dont need an alarm, just want to hop into a warm vehicle and know it started from a long distance. thank you

I have the 200 on my truck..well will when my dealer gets it in and can install it. Mines a 2014 so I would assume it will work..they threw it in with the truck for me.

I am not 100% positive on the 14's, but if you go to the ford accessory site and look up the 14's accessories I would order the one you want from there! the bi directional one means it shows you the truck has started on the remote fob one way or the other depending on which model is available.. some have a red led and others have an led screen that I have seen. The install is simple but you still have to have the dealer activate it unfortunately! So when you are on the page there is price of the RS and then if you look you can find a price for having it installed...

Congrats to new owners! I have 2013 screwcab Lariat 4x4 off road. The remote starter that came with mine is the standard. Works within 100 feet at most. It's nice that it automatically picks the desired temp in the cab. Long distance remote with the indicator is a nice extra. Good luck with the install.

I also live in upstate NY (well more like western NY). My first mod was the factory remote start and OEM mud flaps. Got them installed one week after I got the truck, back in November 2013.

I see no reason why the 200 series wouldn't work on a 14!

I hale from New York originally , and I always hated purchasing a car, you could never drive it home that day. Every other place I haved lived you take home same day. Not New York.
