Default Job # Question

Please excuse my ignorance on what may seem like an obvious question, but do the job #s change for each new MY build (i.e. 2011, 2012, etc), or only when there is a major body style change? For example, if Ford keeps a particular body style for 3 years, will the last build of the last year be something like job #9 (assuming three job # changes per year as an example), or does it reset each MY?

Second question, I just built a truck at the dealer, and the paperwork says Job #3. Does anyone know what is different about job #3 over job #2 or #1? On FTE, someone had a pretty detailed description of all of the enhancements with each job change for the Super Duties. I have not seen such a thing for the F150s. Any insight here would be appreciated. 36 gallon tank for the EB would be a nice job # change, but I know I'm dreaming since the paperwork still says 26 gallons.

Effective on all vehicles built on or after Job 3 (05/02/11).

1) 3.7L is now standard on XLT SuperCab with 4x4, 5.0L is optional
2) Tuxedo Black has been replaced with Black (UA)
3) Red Candy exterior paint code is now RZ

Thank you Husky....bottom line, no major changes, and looks like it was the result of the paint shortage situation from the Japan tsunami.

How can you tell what job # a truck is? Mine was built 02/08/10. Is that job 1 or 2?

Thanks!
