Jerking Between 3rd & 4th on Hard Acceleration
Hey guys. I cant seem to find anything familiar in the threads with this issue. 2011 with ecoboost and 85000 miles.
While driving on the highway and if I give it quite a bit gas and accelerate hard the truck will downshift to 3rd gear. Not a problem, normal. But, when it wants to shift to 4th gear, I get a hard jerking of the truck and acts like it does not want to shift into 4th gear. Sometimes it will kick into 4th and sometimes I have to let off the gas and not press the gas as hard to get it into 4th. The jerking feels like the transmission is slipping or the engine is shutting down during that time.
Have any of you experienced this or seen it on the forum?

There is a TSB out for "Some 2011-2014 F-150 vehicles built on or before 9-28-14 may exhibit abnormal transmission operation due to coolant entry into the transmission fluid."
This can cause shifting issues also.... Not saying this is your problem but its something to look for.
