It's Good Bye Time
Well after 9 Blue oval trucks over the last 25 years, I did something I said I'd never do.....Replace a Ford with a GM product.....The last two years of dismal service department experiences, along with a ridiculous trade offer on a 2015 pushed me up the road to another brand.... We'll see how this turn of the worm goes!!
Thanks for the info, and the entertainment!!

Okay, going thru the comments made on this topic surprised me....
Yes, I went Chevy...
No, I don't expect stellar service from anybody or any dealer anymore.
No, it was not because of 1 dealer, there were several dealers involved with this one issue(Air conditioning) In Houston, its a major requirement. The truck is also my office.
My company urges us to buy new trucks every 2 years, more if there are issues that repeatedly require time in the shop...
I just spent 150+ bucks to have the AC looked at again(even though it was ut of waranty) and I got the same response as the 4 previous times in for AC. Im not going to go into the previous issues I had with the dealer I purchased from, thats in other posts I made a while back.
What really got my goat was 4 days after I got my truck back for the AC work, I tried to trade it in on a 2015 F150.....The frst thing the appraiser commented on was the lack of air conditioning......Ironic, right....?
I know all makes have their issues.....Ive owned most everyone of them except Nissan
I was dissapointed in the few 2015 F150s I drove, and the price to replace what I had was quite high(13 grand more than my 2013 purchase price)
I still believe Ford makes a better product....Believe me, it was a bitter pill to swallow to go GM...Not only due to the quality of products they produce, but the principles the company has adopted in the last 20 years, and profited by at our expense.(whether we bought GM or not)
Thanks for all the positive support. We will see haow this on goes....There is already a few things I miss, a few things I can appreciate that I didnt have before....

I used to drive Chevy, but decided to switch to Ford, less recalls. Still not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
Here is your latest GM recall.

Can you recall, the last recall Ford had for Known Issues on these F150's?Like the crappie AC, Exploding power Sliding rear window, EPAS, and so on... I can't think of a single Recall...

My brother now works for GM, so I might be switching back when it's time to replace.
Example of the proverbial straw breaking the camels back for me was when I had to rewire a 2000 Lincoln Towncar, I had to gut the car down to a skeleton bumper to bumper, headliner, carpet, dash down to the firewall and all 4 doors.
They paid 8hrs and the job took 24hrs, don't know about you but I would have to have been making over $100/hr to make up for it. No I wasn't dragging my *** and I knew exactly what I had to do, it just took that long. It's worldwide and only techs making $$$ are not doing any or very little warranty work or are (paid by the hour which is rare)
.
When I left the dealer 11 years ago I was making $27/hr but when a job is done under warranty is where Ford corporate screws the tech, jobs that used to pay 8hrs now only get compensation for 2-3hrs.

Warranty mirror covers used to pay 0.5 hours for paint. Half an hour. Let's say you took 5 minutes to scuff it and set it up. 1 coat of sealer with a 10 minute flash time. 3 coats of color with 10 minute flash a piece. 45 minutes right there. You are well over the half hour you are getting paid, and you haven't even cleared it yet. You just thanked god that it wasn't a tri stage pearl. Which sometimes it was.
