At the corner of the bed? Shouldn't there be a tie down or a hole or something that I could use to help tie my cargo down?

Whoops, I stand corrected, sorry. That is weird. I have the little covers that pop right off, so I thought that was the standard. I am running the 2009 XLT with 6.5 bed. Do you have the black, plastic stock bed rail caps on there? Good luck

I have an '09 XLT 5.5' bed. I added the BakFlip but that didn't change the rails out. I just find myself wishing I had extra places to grab on to with large items in the cargo space.
It would be especially nice if I could add a tie down like this to the back:

That is exact same rings I installed on mine, they are great, took five minutes and can be replaced/put back to original if ever need be. Question: when they put in bedliner, are the sides and top rail all one piece? if so, I am guessing they first removed "stock" rails first. if so, don't forget, you still have the pockets under there. Don't be afraid to cut. Once you find anywhere in the hole when you break through, you can easily cut to go up against all four sides of pocket. It is worth it to put on them nice tie down rings.

++^^ I also have the bull ring tie downs and are excellent, easy to install and look good. They fit perfectly in the space in the rail cap when you pop out the plastic cover over the stake pockets.
But I have a 6.5 foot bed. I thought I had seen an earlier post here that claimed that the 5.5 foot beds did not have the pop out covers in the rail caps. But as stated above, the stake pocket is still there.

The holes don't come on the Texas Edition F-150's. They only come on the others, just not the Texas Edition.
No really though, they should be there under the plastic trim, you just have to cut the opens for them which you had better be good at or it's going to look like you did it.
