Default Iphone now works with sync!

iOS 5 the update works with sync! iPhone now plays songs and you can request songs as well. To make it work, click the air play button under music and on the bottom take it off sync and click dock accessory.

Good luck! Finally Microsoft and apple get along!

What model/year truck do you have? I've heard that it only works with certain versions of sync. I have a 2010 F150 I bought last year in November and I'm curious to see if it'll work with iOS 5 when I get back to my truck in a few months (currently serving in Iraq) Also, what phone are you using? 3GS/4?

I have a 2010 Lariat and have never had problems with my 3GS iPhone and Sync. I've played music through BT but just don't see song titles. When playing music through USB I have full control with song titles as well. Phone calls have always worked whether on BT or USB music.
The only thing that hasn't worked was text to speech.
I haven't upgraded to IOS 5 yet (currently in Afghanistan) so I'll be doing that in January.
Has anyone tested text on IOS 5 yet? (just hoping)

This might go without saying but have you upgraded to iOS 5 yet?

I'm curious to know if the blue tooth stream displays the track name and artist info with the sync system. Could you check it out and let us know??

Yes I had it on my phone as soon as I was able to (: I also can play songs and skip them with the controls on the steering wheel but the truck don't show the name of the song and or I can't voice command it play a certain songs unlike my USB stick. There is no option that I see any were to Change it to AirPlay. I just got iPhone or sync as sources
