Just saw one iPad Mini install in another forum but it was a 2012
Wondering if this could be done on a new 2013 FX4 with the standard head unit fascia.

There are two guys on this forum that do them. Only I am not sure if they can do the 2013's yet.

Negative. MyFordTouch and the 4.2" SYNC display both control too many features to be able to replace it with a tablet. I suppose you could do some sort of "float mount" but it would look bad. The basic Sync system on a 2013 XL, STX or basic XLT or pre-'13 non-nav truck will be able to have a tablet replace the dash controls due to the way it is set up.
