I had run into a few problems....
Fixed most of them with Sync my iTunes program off the ford site.
But overall my phone has been running slower after the OS4 update and that may be more the problem then the SYNC. My phone is a bit older though... 8gb 3g

I have no issues at all
I'm on a 3Gs; what model do you have?
Try deleting all the bluetooth devices on sync first, and then just set the phone up as the only one. Then pair it, and then after that it should pair every time as soon as you get in the vehicle.
Mine flipped out on me for the first time today, and it went to streaming bluetooth audio... well, it wasn't just that; I stopped and filled up with gas, and when I started the truck to leave, it went from my USB music drive to FM radio, and the steering wheel controls stopped working I just pulled into a parking spot and shut the truck off, then restarted it, and everything worked again, and that's when it went into streaming bluetooth for some reason... but that was the radio's issue, not the phone's

Now USB and USB2 will not recognize the phone, or even push power to it. I checked all my connections and replaced the cable. The radio did recognize the phone a couple of times, but would not play any music, coming up with a message saying "bad playlist". Tried sync my iTunes... did absolutely.
Finally did a master reset on radio and did a restore on my iPhone. Still nothing

I have a 1 gen iphone and 3 weeks after I got the truck mine just quit working in the middle of a song. Sync would not recognize the phone or even charge it. This was on a Wednesday. Sunday afternoon it worked fine. It has been working great ever since (about 2 weeks)

Goto syncmyride.com and make sure that you have the latest and greatest software. I upgraded my 3GS to iOS4 and it had no issues but I also know that I have the latest sync updates. I also replaces the 3GS with the iPhone 4 and that has no issues either. Still no text compatibility though .

Im sure apple is working on a 4.1 update as we speak. In the meantime, you can try a hard reset, holding the power and home button down until the phone turns off and the apple appears again. Thats what I have done to my phone and my mother in laws phone.
