Interior feels so cheap....
I was set on picking up a new fully loaded fx4 with app package yesterday, when I was waiting on them to crunch numbers I took a ram 1500 for a spin and it was a nice truck, went back to take the f150 for a spin again, and well it just felt cheap especially where u rest your elbow on that hard plastic, and unfriendly after sitting in the ram. Is there something I'm missing? Why should I get the f150 still?
Just because an interior doesn't have soft touch points, doesn't make it cheap. Cheap means everything is crap and falls apart prematurely. Ford's material may be hard to the touch, but it holds up extremely well over time and still looks new after a few years. Ram interiors may have a few soft touch points and stitched vinyl On the dash, but the top of the dashboards have been known to break down and crack underneath the vinyl. I've had the dash on an F-150 apart before and you can tell it's built well, most panels are snapped into place, then bolted down.
If you need the soft touch points, the 2015 F-150 will have a class leading interior with excellent materials.

I recently purchased a 2013 FX4 and couldn't be happier. Coming from a 2007 Chevy Suburban it's night and day difference on the interior. I can't comment on the Dodge because I don't know much about it but I am very pleased with my FX4.
I agree, we looked a couple years ago at the Durango and it seemed so cheap feeling. My 13 Platinum materials seem very nice. I am intrigued by the Ram and I may go look just to see what's out there.

But I highly disagree about the "cheapness" of the FX trim level.

trim levels mean a lot... try a platinum and you wont have hard plastic
