the 04-08 uses a 2-piece bumper. 1 steel, 1 plastic. our bumpers are 3-piece, 2 corners and the plastic center/step area.
cheaper to replace a corner than the whole thing in the event of an accident.
don't know about the brackets or anything, though. the trucks are very similar, but I haven't been under the 04-08
