Default Intake Install Help

I have a 2012 Ecoboost and am trying to install a stage 2 cold air intake from AFE. My first problem I encountered was breaking off a vacuum tube at the clip where it goes into the factory tubing. The clamp for the factory tubing was turned upside down and I broke it trying to get a nut driver in to loosen the clamp. Is anyone else as clumsy as me and had this happen? Are these clips readily available?

My next problem is afte removing the map/maf sensor, I cannot get installed on the aftermarket intake. There is a gap between the plastic of the intake and the bottom of the sensor. Every installation guide/video I have seen has a different setup than mine. There is a gasket where it goes in and it won't go down in the hole and fit flush like it did on the factory piece. I'm not sure if its supposed to or not, but it doesn't seem right. Maybe the hole in the intake is undersized which will not allow it to fit in?

If anyone can chime in, I would apprectiate it.

Well never mind. I was able to jb weld the plastic piece where the hose connects, and I managed to force the map sensor into place. Project intake install complete.
