Your IAT temperature reading is WAD (Working As Designed)
The IAT will read close to (say, within 1-3°F) of the ambiant temperature only at a cold startup or when the vehicle is moving. Otherwise, it will read the inlet air temp' that the result of heat soak from the under-hood, engine bay.
