intake on 5.0 setting codes
i want to get a cold air intake system for my 2014 f150 with the 5.0. But i dont want it to void my warranty my main concern is is it going to set off codes i don't want to tune it at all. I was looking at the roush intake because i know ford and roush are friends can anyone let me know what they have and if it is setting off codes without tuning.

I have a 2013 FX4 with 5.0L and I added a Roush CAI. No codes, runs good. I also have a Superchips Cortex programmer. I ran it for several months with and without programmer and it doesn't matter. Right now I do not have the program installed because it has to go back to dealer for another recall. Never had a code and Ford has no issue with the CAI I installed.

Will not void your warranty. HOWEVER .....
OEM, stock .....
OEM, stock .....
- already CAI.
. - CFM exceeds engine requirements/needs. *UNLESS über engine modifications are done.
. - no contaminating the MAF sensor with oil. *Which reduces performance and MPG.
. - there are NO performance and/or MPG gains with aftermarket air intake systems. *If you're looking for performance and/or possible MPG gains, put your $$$$$ towards a tuner+tune(s).
- for the engine bay cosmetics.
. - for the increase in growl.
Do it for any other reason and you're wasting your $$$$$
