It was a pretty easy job.
My main concern is I have heard conflicting reports that the truck will not start afterward. Good to hear you have done it with no issues.

Is your truck a 4x4? if so do the functions show up on the new cluster?

Yes, I have a 2011 3.5L 4x4. It starts fine, all functions show up properly in the dash. It is a really simple process. Install the cluster, replace steering wheel controls, program the as-built data for your truck into it using ForScan, done. The hard part is either finding a cluster that is the right mileage or getting someone to set the miles on the new cluster, you can't do this yourself.

I get it man, reedeeng iz hard.

Since the content in the link eluded you, I will ignore the fact that you created a useless post in order to complain about others creating useless posts and spoon feed you. I'm not going to bother with the pictures because they are all in the link in the second post.

From the link in the second post, and I quote:

Post 63 (spoon feeding how to get the cluster out, again, I didn't bother with the pictures):

The sides just pop out with a little pressure. You'll need to put the shifter in the lowest gear possible. To have room to remove it. The actual cluster is held in with four bolts. The thing I found is some clusters on eBay are from higher end models and the harness looks different. I have the manual shift option on my truck. So I had to make sure the new gauge had that option.

Check all the buttons to make sure they work. Test drive and enjoy your need cluster!!!
Post 84: Whats that? You want a VIDEO of how to remove it? Here you go.

But alas, you're right, no where does it talk about the swap being done in that thread. Probably best to skip the name calling when it's you who's wrong.

Default I've done it.

Hey I have a 2013 f150 STX. I brought a 2011 to 2014 xlt display cluster. It was plug and play. Just need to get the arrow controls for the left hand steering buttons. Can find on ebay. Fyi if your truck has 4x4. Make sure your donor cluster you fine has 4x4. Because if the truck only has 4x2 you won't see any light or info when you engage your 4x4 . So it's not a huge deal but I like to see when I'm on 4x4. So dont let people tell you the computers dont work with each other. That was not a problem for me.

You can use a 4x2 cluster in a 4x4 truck and vise-versa and have all the lights, if you update the IPC data using ForScan. Since the display is digital, it's all controlled by the computer settings.

Forscan (free windows software) and an OBD adapter. Forscan will allow you to reconfigure the modules in your truck, such as the cluster.
