This may have been covered at some other time, however I didn't catch it. Got my 2013 F150 and I don't understand why there is no digital speedo option on the information center, and does anyone know if there is an upgrade program to get one?

 

It is strange that Ford doesn't have some type of digital readout. I have a 2013 Edge which shows the digital speed whenever I set the cruise control. The speedometer still has the needle and number speed indicator, but the digital number comes on also with the cruise set and is displayed in a different area.

I was test driving some 2013 F150's a few weeks ago, and that is one of the first things I noticed and missed.

 

There are no user upgrades for the message screen and the only way to get digital speedo is engineering mode

 

That is probably one of the only things I dont like about my truck. HA. My '12 GTI had the digital speedo in the cluster and I used it all the time (but I hated that car). Its a nice feature and you wouldnt think that it would be a big deal with all the Tech they already have in our trucks.

 

So how do we change to engineering mode?
