I'm amazed by how monumentally horrible Sync is on a daily basis.

Never had an issue with my super duty sync. My 2013 MFT when I receive phone calls audio doesnt play through speakers and mic doesnt work and when I hang up my screen freezes and doesnt start my usb audio so I am stuck in silence. Annoying...

Well, for $2000-2500 you can upgrade MFT to Sync3.

My lariat doesn't have the touch screen and my gawd is so difficult to navigate through the stereo menu for bluetooth audio and it never recognize my phone music files. Wife's 2017 explorer, now that is silky smooth.

I am just going to get a pioneer, alpine or kenwood nav stereo and ditch sync.

I wish it was that easy. I've had several iPhone gurus in my truck trying to make it work, and it still doesn't work. If I'm playing music from my phone to the truck it works, but not on any other settings. I'm not paying for Sirius and not be able to listen to it. There is no setting that hasn't been attempted, and it was the same with my 2012 150. I have an iPhone 5 S and we've even tried it with several other phones. Androids work fine. iPhones don't.

I was messing around in sync last night and tried to activate the text messaging. Sync said that my phone isn't supported for that option. I also have a 5s.

Mine displayed text messages on the screen, now after the latest update it doesn't.

The screen will randomly go black and shut off while driving down the road sometimes, then come back on later.

Sometimes she can't understand what I'm saying, other times she can.

The menus are non-intuitive and will drive you insane.

Why the hell do I have to choose Bluetooth manually every time I get in the truck??

The volume of streamed audio is horrible.

In short, it's exactly what I'd expect from Microsoft.

Open blue tooth menu on phone, select the small i on the sync profile when it is connected to truck, select show notifications, turn truck off and open door, turn truck back on. This fixed my issue of "phone isn't supported" but I still cannot text people back.

I can't figure out what you're talking about. There is no small "I" on my phone. I've opened everything to do with Bluetooth and it's nowhere to be found.

I found the "i" but when I clicked it there was nothing about show notifications. Maybe all three of us have a different version of the OS
