This whole system feels like a 5 year old designed it.
Aside from the obvious bluetooth and stability issues, today Sync decides to stop recognizing "bluetooth audio" when spoken and wont pair to my phone.
Oh and it crashes when trying to add or delete a device, too...even after a master reset. Guess I wont be listening to music anymore?

Mine works great 90% of the time. Then all of the sudden it locks up and won't recognize anything I say.

That's the craziest/worst thing about Sync, it just out of the blue decides to be ****ty for no reason. I literally did nothing different from the one day it was working to the next day it didnt, just turned the truck off and then back on again.
It's like they built a random number generator into it and then said If number=10 > then breaking every-****ing-thing.

Most of the frustration with Sync is recognizing its limits. It's the same as any 3-5yr old computer that I've owned recently. They're all buggy to an extent. Do I hate it...no. But do I desire its use on a daily basis...no. For what I need, to make calls, get directions, it works well.
BT audio is annoying anyhow, and I much prefer the consistent sound quality of audio from a USB memory stick. I know that isn't everyone's cup-o-tea, but for me it's much better.

Bluetooth itself is a simple protocol, which is why China can make complex bluetooth peripherals and sell them for 10 dollars. There's really no excuse for how bad Sync is, and how much worse it gets with every update.
If I had the ability to use steering controls through line-in, I'd be all over that so I can take advantage of the nice DAC in my phone, but for now im stuck with bluetooth audio. (or blueDooth audio, as Sync likes to call it).

I didn't mind Sync until we got a Charger. Almost faster than I can buckle my seatbelt my iPhone is connected and playing music in the Charger, and it connects and disconnects SOOOOOO much faster than the F150.
Plus it auto reconnects and starts playing music if I shut the car down while playing music.

I guess I'm out in left field as I never use the verbal functions. I was notified yesterday of a Sync update and like a dumbass I did it. It reminded me quickly why I don't use it - too easy just to reach over and do what I need to do.
