I did an 8.8 thing this weekend
I did an 8.8 thing this weekend and it has worked out rather well. When it's cold and I go in reverse the replacement IWS part seems to want to engage in the right side. Ir was OEM now it's an aftermarket one. It was one of those while I'm in there sort of things that prompted me to change it since I bought the set and the left was done when the CV halfshaft was changed. I think it just needs a bit of break in time.
Is it a Raptor front diff or as nice. No it certainly is not but it was 1/10th the price. And now a moment of silence for the non ecoboost V6 2014 Mustang that was murdered by some t-bone who gave up its organs for my project. May you rust in peace and may your eventual scrap metal not be used to create a Hyundai, Honda, Kia, Nissan, Toyota or some trash import like that.
Does it mean and groan. Well only in a hard turn on semi loose surface such as gravel and hard surface like dry pavement. It wasn't engineered to go into 4wd on dry pavement it certainly wasn't re-engineered by me to do so. Do NOT try to put the c clip back on the right axle if you are dumb enough to do this. It wont clear the cross pin of the diff then you will spend almost an hour trying to remove and or bend and destroy to remove the clip because you will have to contend with the S-Spring in the way.
This is way better than my LSD front 93 which would literally jerk the wheel out of your hand when turning on dry pavement. And if you locked the wheel hubs if it were snowy or iced. You would feel it pull just slightly from side to side just with the hubs engaged.

Seriously, man, you got to start at the beginning of a story, not the middle.

Anecdotal evidence, posting at 4:17am might suggest a little alcohol might be involved.
