Most tuners with canned tunes are not designed to work with performance mods. You need to get a tuner capable of custom tunes.

Additionally, when vendors present their 'advertised' horsepower gains, don't expect to get anywhere near the total calculated power from multiple mods. Usually, advertised gains are the gains under perefect conditions and even sometimes those are not what they are advertised to be.

If you add headers, exhaust, CAI, and a programmer, if the advertised HP gains for each item add up to 40 HP, you'lL probably see about a 25 HP gain, total. Even less power to the rear wheels due to parasitic drivetrain loss.

Does anyone have an update to contribute to this?

I just picked up a 2010 FX4 S-cab. I'd like to chip it in a couple tanks.
