Question How to remove Side View Mirror Glass

I purchased the side view mirror blinker assemblies and decided today to see if the mirror wiring harness accomodates the blinkers and it does. This involved removing the door panel which was easy because of all the detailed instructions on how to remove it on the forum. I used a test light and located the wire that I need to tap into. Happy to find it.

The only part that I wasn't to sure about was removing the mirror glass. I was able to turn the mirror glass in all directions and look behind it but I don't see where the tabs are to remove it. I do see the white little ***** that I guess allow it to pivot in all directions but don't see where I can slip a screw driver in there to remove it without breaking it.

If anyone can provide some instructions with pictures on glass removal that would be awesome. Once I can get the glass removed I'll be on my way to installing the led's fairly easy.

Let me know if anyone can provide these instructions for me. I appreciate all the replies and all the detailed instructions those have posted. Makes everything go a lot smoother and less prone to breaking things.

Anyone know how to remove the side view mirror glass on 2010 Ford F150? I need to remove the glass in order to install the turn signal assemblies I purchased. Thanks.

I was able to finally remove the glass. Took my time so I wouldn't break anything.

Glad you got through it. I did respond to your PM a few minutes ago but was too busy to get back to you sooner, sorry!
