Default How to Remove Headrests

Can someone tell me how to get the headrests out of the seats in my 2013 F150 Limited?

Thanks

Thanks
If you raise the hr all the way up you should see a button at the base of each leg. One sticks out and the other is nearly flush and not as apparent. The flush button releases the hr for removal. I had to tilt the seat back toward the rear to have enough room for removal.

Mine is a 2013 FX4 but should be the same or similar.

Hope that helps!

How about a 2009 F150? I removed the passenger side headrest when the truck was new because it blocked my view to the right rear. It was no problem, But now I want to remove the driver headrest, but I can't budge it. Pushing in the little plastic buttons does nothing.

Adjustment (and removal) of seat head restraints is covered in the owner's manual.

(owner's manual) Don't have one -OR- would like a digital, searchable desktop document?

Thanks, that's a handy link to have, but all I could find in that owner's manual was "push control button to lower head restraint". I push the button and nothing happens. It's lowered all the way and won't budge up, even when I tried to lever it up with a big tool. Maybe it's somehow jammed in there.

I'm going to the Ford dealer today and they'll probably tell me they are not allowed to remove safety equipment - but they should be able to *adjust it* (at maybe $250!)...and if that doesn't work I'll ask a a private mechanic I know...and if that doesn't work I'm thinking along the lines of a hack saw.

I don't know how I managed to live with that big thing jutting forward like that all these years, but now my back is hurt and it's really bothering me.

Ford dealer mechanic removed it, no cost. The bar was bent on the inside. I think it came that way.
