I went to the dealership recently and noticed they have about 14, 2011 Harley Davidson models. I asked the sales guy, "what kind of deal can you give me?" and his response was,"I could do $5k off sticker price".

Sticker price was about $53k fully loaded. $5k off means $48, for a 2011. Not a 2012. Considering the fact that the 2013s are going to be available very soon....

What do you feel is a fair price for a 2011 Harley Davidson?

he obviously didn't want to fool with you, he might not have thought you were serious, who knows? but 5K off isn't that great of a deal on an '11. even if it is a HD. if you were seriously wanting to deal you could do some research on Edmunds or KBB and come up with a round about "invoice" price. then you could go in and make an offer and maybe they would accept it maybe not. but if they have 14 of them on the lot now, chances are they don't care if they sell them or not. which is ignorant on their part but it's their inventory. i know most dealers around here aren't allowed to order new models, especially "limited edition" models until they move current inventory.

Thanks for the input. They're not so bright I guess cuz they've got them all on display along the road in front, and along the embankment above the highway in the backside of the dealership. It looks like they want them gone.

Honestly, I believe if you deal with the fleet manager and offer 42k you would get the truck.

They should be selling those at a loss. It should be no less than $10k off plus any rebates if possible. I wonder when they will finally take them to auction just to dump them...
