Getting a new 2011 xlt supercrew and 5.0 and wondering how much a tank can get

I have 36 gal with 5.4l and can get well over 500 miles on a tank but never let it get much past half tank because it costs so much to fill up.

I'd hope youd get over 500 miles with a 36 gal tank.
I'm getting just over 400 with a 25gal tank on the 5.4

Actually a little over 550 between fill-ups. My commute isn't long so I don't get the benefit of long runs for mpg. But I can live with that tradeoff....I like my short commute!

Right after a run on the highway and averaging over 20 MPG, and then filling up, I've seen over "700 miles to empty" on the dash display.......kinda' cool you know?
I really like the 36 gallon tank and being comfortable having that kind of range. Especially when I am towing our TT and getting only 10 MPG!!

26 gallon tank with EcoBoost. On fill up I have seen different numbers...as much as 545 to empty and as low as 490 to empty. I am curious why the different numbers? Anyone else experience this?

It depends on what your average is reading when you fill up. The higher the average, the more range on full tank.
