As far as exhaust goes I'd agree. But I love the power of the ecoboost

 

A custom tune on your truck can do this. There is a table called Rev Limiter Neutral, which is typically 3-4000 in stock form but I'm not certain on your truck. You could raise this to 5-6000 if you wanted to, while it is not recommended as mentioned before.

I have tried this with a tuner but nothing changed, I can lower it but not raise it past 4k rpms. Reason being, I like reving through the rpms, I'd like to set it to 5k but I cant.

Re-route your exhaust so it exits just fore of the drivers window about 5.5' off the ground. Guaranteed your exhaust will sound louder with no modifications to the rev limiter needed. And a bonus: your neighbors will thank you.

Truth be told, no one likes your exhaust sound as much as you do.

Hope some Harley guys are reading this. Someone should make a routing kit to dump the exhaust upward just under the handlebars. The rider could experience the aural joy that everyone else "enjoys." Bonus: the loud pipes will still save lives...

And yes, I am old and cranky.

 

My 93 MPT prx tune lets me rev as high as I want in park or neutral.

 

Maybe one of us with a V8 should record it and sell CDs. They can play it in the radio.

 

It might ruin the elusion for the chicks but.....you'll drive home that night.
