Well, I have only washed my truck once and I climbed up on top. It is not something i recommend. I am not a heavy guy but I will probably be purchasing a brush with a long handle to do it in the future.

I'm going to hit the strip tomorrow(is sacramento if anyone is near and wants to join) and was about to wash my truck when I remembered how much work it was and how long it takes plus it dark out so I decided to wait.

The car wash is good enough for me since you can barely see on top. I also have a tonneau cover so can't stand in the bed to wash it.

i crawl up on the bed and reach as far as i can, then i open the doors and step on the door sill to get the front bit, all with a chamois or microfiber rag. then i clean the sill of footprint

I get in the bed and I get the rear window and I can reach about 3/4 of the roof on my SCAB. Then I use a 2' step ladder to reach the windshield and the rest of the roof.

I use a soft bristle brush with a handle.I stand in the bed and get what I can't reach by hand,then I switch to my rag.

I'm 6'7 with with a pretty long reach so my new stock height truck is no problem... My old truck with 14" of lift and 40's now that was a problem and I used a step stool.

Figure it out. What would u have done without an Internet and truck forum. No offense but do something like a man and clean her top side.
