As I suspected there are different levels of Sync!
I don not have the NAV!
I have the single cd stereo with Sync and I dont have any of the above features available to me in my system.
Thanks for your assistance, I thought I was going crazy after I saw your post! I had read all my manuals front to back and couldnt find anything about the voice prompt volume which I want because mine seems really low going down the road! I have to hit the button then turn the volume up to hear the voice prompts! I called Microsoft and they said to do a master reset which really didnt do anything other than cause more work because I had to Pair my phone and index My music again! lol

I thought I'd read it somewhere in the manaul so that makes sense. I did it by default because I already had the last names but I know I don't have issues.
Artists and songs (tracks) is another story. Single named artists are a nightmare sometimes but I've learned that if you sound them out versus saying them the right way it helps. Akon can be a real killer. My wife wanted to hear an Akon song and I almost went batty.
Another great tip if you don't use it already is push the sync button twice. That takes you right to the "ding" and lets you avoid hearing the spoken "USB2, please say a command" or "Sync, Please say a command". Real time saver that makes Sync more user friendly IMHO.

While the song is playing, ask sync/Samantha, "What's playing?" She will respond with her interpretation of the artist and song title.

Confirmation prompts are short questions asked by the system when the
system has not clearly understood your request or when there are many
possible responses to your request. For example, if you have
Confirmation prompts ON, the system may say, “Phone, is that correct?”.
The system will then listen for a “Yes” or “No” confirmation from you. If
you say “Yes”, the system will proceed. If you say “No”, the system will
ask you to say the command again. If you have Confirmation prompts
OFF, the system will simply make a best guess as to what you requested.
