How do you clean the MAF Sensor

What is the procedure and what cleaner do you use to clean the MAF sensor?

Unplug it and remove from the intake. Spray it with mafs cleaner and reinstall

I have always heard dont touch it with anything (wire brushes/fingers). Just buy MAF Cleaner and Spray it.
