Hey Guys,

Is there a way to easily disable the reverse warning with the tailgate down? My buddies SuperDuty has a button on the dash that will instantly disable it; I know you can do it via the My Ford Touch system, but it's not nearly as convenient.

yea you have to go in through the screen on the dash

 

When I put my truck in reverse reverse sensor on/off pops up on my dash display, all I do is hit the down arrow and it shuts off. Can't see it being any easier.

You could put a switch on the tailgate that when open would interupt the signal going to the truck. You would get a check rear park assist message but it wouldnt beep

 

Mine is the same...shy of introducing some form of telepathic system based on thought...hitting the conveniently located switch on the steering wheel, strategically located next to my left thumb, in a downward motion has always worked for me.
