Default Homelink on 2011 FX4....?

I've been crusin the posts looking to see if anyone installed the Homelink mod on a new 2011...and if there is any differenece between the 2010 or the 2011...?

I have a 2011 FX4 with black interior and moonroof and really want to try this mod out. I'm not crazy about spending the $200 to replace the visor though...and want to see if I can pick up a module from ebay and get it to work that way.

Has anyone tried this on a 2011 yet...? if so, how did it go...?

Does anyone have the garage door opener on their new 2011... I think they are only available on the Limited and HD... if I recall.. if so, where are the buttons located... are they on the above console... or visor...?

Located on the visor. Works great, easiest setup yet.

On FX4 (At least 09-10's) the visors are technically Stone so if you go to the yards, look for tan as that is what I did and it matches perfectly.

I just did this mod this past weekend on my FX4.

When I received my Homelink module (advertised as light gray on ebay) I was concerned that it would not match, but it is pretty close. It was a pretty easy mod, but it was a little nerve racking tearing into the visor of my new truck.

Here's a few pics from my Iphone...

Looks great! Understand you about the wrenching on the new truck. Odd that the grey works. I had a couple I pulled from yards and the tan was the best match. Perhaps they changed the color on the 2011's visors.
