Default HID Replacement Cost

Does anyone know how expensive it is to replace the HID lamps when they finally burn out? I was looking in a manual and it said that you need to take it to a dealer to get them replaced. I realize they last longer than traditional halogen lamps, but eventually they too will burn out. Thoughts?

When the dealer installed mine I got the invoice for everything they did and the bulbs were listed there at $289 a piece.

129 bucks for a set of oem philips bulbs on ebay. plug and play. dont bring it to the dealer. bulbs should be changed in sets, not individully as they colorshift and loose lumens as they age. since f150 hids are not drl's, they should last you 5-8 years pretty easy
