HID question
Hey guys,
I wanted to ask a question here and I hope it does not go off topic. I have a 2013 F150 with HID's and I recently bought a Chrysler 300 as I got a great deal on the car, I mean incredible. The only thing is that is came with Halogens vs the HID's I wanted. It has a LED bar around the housing, but I need HID's. I figured I would convert them to HID's. Can anybody tell me the best brand to buy? Somebody told me awhile back about a retro fit for my Platinum, but I never did it, I actually sold that truck and got a 2013 Lariat with factory HID's. I only need to replace the bulb as the car has projection housings. Also what is the best number to get? I like the light blue tint and figured 6000K would be the best number to get. I don't want to blind on coming drivers. If anybody knows the best company to buy from I would appreciate any help here. I heard that the German brands are best, but who knows. Also if there are any site sponsors, that would be best.
Thanks

biggest thing i can recommend is sourcing HID headlights from a 300 with them..you have a halogen projector and those work different compared to HID ones..plus everything will be integrated into the housing...aftermarket kits arent like that
Putting HID capsules in a halogen housing, projector or not, is 1- illegal (against 2 federal laws in the USA) anywhere; and 2 - not a good idea. HIDs in a halogen housing is like putting someone else's glasses on and expecting to see clearly. Bright light? Yes. Sharp cut-off line (with projectors)? Yes. Properly focused? NO.
No reasonable person can realistically expect to get "HIDs" that cost +/- $1,000 per headlight (per side) for less than $100. Isn't going to happen. There's a reason HIDs cost so much, and the fakes don't.
Do some real scientific research.
