Question Here's a question that will probably be very basic for all of you.

I know once I ask this, you'll all know that I'm an old guy, lol.

Regarding the USB2 connection under the center mat on the dash board. I'd like to attach a thumb drive with all my 50s & early 60s music. How to do the is not a problem.

My question is, can I just load all of the songs with an .mp3 format in a simple list on the thumb drive? As you can tell, I've never done this before, lol.

Thanks in advance for replies.

Yes you can. You can also create playlists ahead of time and sync will recognise those also.

Playlists?? If you can explain how to do that in a short reply, please do so. If it's a lengthy process, I don't want you to waste your time.

Thanks for the reply.

You can use windows media player on a computer to make a play list. Copy the playlist file along with the mp3s to your thumb drive.

I wouldn't bother with playlists unless you really have a lot of music.

Yeah, I really don't think I'd need a play list. Like I had mentioned, I "only" listen to 50's and early 60's music. With that said, I also only pick out my favorite songs.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

"My Favorite Songs" could be a playlist.

If you're using the latest Windows Media Player to get files to your USB Stick, here are a couple of tutorials that may help:
How to create a Playlist
Setting Up a Device for Syncing

If you're not using Windows Media Player, tell us which app you are using and someone will be able to help out.

That's why the CD Player also accepts 45s...
