Default Help With Upgrading Front Springs Please

Hi All,

I have searched the forums and web to no avail so I am finally posting this with the hope that someone might have advice/information.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket coil spring that is heavier duty than stock for a 2011 Fx4, 5.0? I spoke to a ford parts specialist with no success-apparently Ford doesn't manufacture one. The parts guy couldn't (or wouldn't- I dunno) provide the specs for the stock spring so I could compare to others e.g.Moog. I even called Moog and the tech couldn't find a part number in their system. I wish I would have measured my springs when I installed the Bilsteins. Does anyone know the specs (height, diameter etc.)?

I ask because I am considering replacing the stock coil springs with something heavier duty to better support the weight of a road armor bumper w/lonestar guard that I hope to finish installing tonight (fingers crossed) or by this weekend. My truck looks naked without the bumper.

I installed the Bilstein 5100s about a month ago at the 1.5" setting. My research revealed that the front suspension can handle up to about 500lbs of aftermarket accessories, but I estimate that I will lose about 1/4-1/2" when the bumper is installed. I don't want to lose the clearance gained with the Bilsteins. I know that I can adjust to the higher level, but am concerned with further compressing the stock springs at this setting with the added weight of the bumper. I am sure ride comfort would be impacted.

The F150lifts coil-over kit is something that I am seriously considering and discussed with Alex. However, if I can find a set of replacement springs and save some money, I would consider that too. Any information or suggestions are much appreciated.

And for those curious as to why such a HD bumper- deer, antelope, elk, cows on the roads, and unexpected slip-sliding around in snow and mud near trees and cattle-fences during hunting season. Also want to be able to mount a (universal) winch just in case. Oh, and it looks pretty darn good IMO.
