How about some 3M clear tape?

That might be strong enough to keep the pups nails at bay.

Or a good shock collar to teach him not to jump on the side of the bed. I did that because I was afraid he'd want to jump out. Now he's content just hanging out in the bed.

I have found fedex do he a very lot cheaper. Had a body kit shipped from the east coast usa. Shipping was $150 and gst was $30. Got a quote from ups and shipping was $250 + brokerage fees. For me if its going shipped ups I look elsewhere. Way to much hassle for me because they are only open for 3 hours a day here. Fedex just leaves the package and mails you a bill for the gst

I haven't been able to find black bed rails either. Looks like Putco used to have their "Locker" style in powder coated black but it has now been discontinued.

The rails on the Yota are sweet.

I will also be looking for bed rail...NOT caps! For some reason they no longer come in black and I can assume it is due to fading and manufacturers prolly tired of returns and/or complaints so they are all chrome now.

My dog loves to hang over the side (yes he is tied down but has a little slack) and his big ole paws all over the top side of my bed and the bars help keep those paws high up. I plan to find the style I like and have them coated in linex. I was hoping to find a set that is not just a pipe but more oval or even flat that covers the length of the bed. Still looking...fabricate maybe...hmmm?

I am not sure I would want 2' of 3m tape along the side of my box.. I think it would look like crap. I am liking the shock collar idea though!

Thanks for the tip about cap-it.com I just ordered my G2. This is the best deal I have been able to find in Canada on a bakflip. http://cap-it.com/Tonneau/bakflip-tonneau-.html

Well my boards arrived today. It was $141.15 for the UPS border fees & GST. Total cost was $821. Dealer wanted $1196 and wouldn't budge on his price. Now I just gotta put them on. Hopefully it will be warm enough tonight.

All the dealers I have talked to here say the black Putco rails have been discontinued.
