Default Help! Husband in Afghanistan - Block Heater question

Just got the truck a few months ago and it's now -33C here in Canada (-28F) and i can't find the bloody block heater cord!

I almost froze to death trying to find it! Can anyone help? My husband's in Afghanistan and I can't reach him.

Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated!

I searched around a little and from what I read it should be ziptied somewhere near the front bumper/radiator area?

Default Block Heater

Hi, yup the other guys are correct.. my Canadian F150 also has the block heater and the cord is actually pretty prominent / easily accessible in the 'well' or mouth of the front lower bumper, drivers side. It is wrapped round on itself and the rubber water-seal cap on it is used to fix the end back into a snug little fitting at the back of the well.

Nicely designed actually - just like the rest of these trucks! Hope you find it ok and it helps you out during our winter...

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but the truck doesn't necessarily come with a block heater. All cars sold in Canada should have them, but I can personally confirm to you that it's not the case! A few years ago, I too froze myself pretty good looking for the "plug" that in fact didn't exist because my car didn't have a block heater... Didn't think it was possible, but I was wrong... Hopefully it's not your case.

open your hood, look down to the right - it is tied to the front of the frame rail, just behind the bumper, and will have enough cord to pull it through the center opening in the bumper. Good luck.
