Heavy Duty Payload package

Because the 6.2L is for puffers who think they need a big, heavy, noisy engine in order to be cool and not for people who use their trucks for utility.
In my case, I have other vehicles that serve the same purpose that the 6.2 does in the F150.
All joking aside, I believe Ford is doing this to ween people away from the larger engine in order to preserve CAFE with the higher-volume heavy-duty payload package while keeping the 6.2L around for lower-volume, higher margin special editions.
Disclosure: I own Ford common and options.

Just had a thought on this. Is the 6.2L much heavier than the EB or 5.0L? If so, then with the same 8,200 GVWR, the 6.2L would actually have less max payload than a comparably equipped EB / 5.0L max payload.

I Like Tires
EB and 5.0 only have about a 20lb weight difference.
