Heatertreater Possible A/C Fix?
There's a thread somewhere about an inline valve mod for the heater coil which I can't seem to locate. Anyway, TiVo recorded Motorhead Garage for me and they had a short segment on this device from Heatertreater.net
http://www.heatertreater.net/magento...regulator.html
Looked to me to be the same type of mod discussed in the previously mentioned thread. More spendy than the DIY version in the thread, but this thing looks purpose built and has wiring and a switch for manual operation in the cabin.
Anybody tried one of these things?

Back in the 80's Buick had a heater core bypass valve inline with the heater core heater on the turbo motors for the GN's and the T-Types. When your heater is turned off, the valve is shut and the excess heat from to core is stopped. Except back then, it was controlled by vacuum. So this is feasible. Not sure how this would work with a operational blend door.

It Stinks in Here...
I had a ball valve in the heater line on my 94 F150 that I just traded. I feel that it helped with the a/c. Only took a minute to open the hood and open valve when you needed heat.
