Default Heater not workin after replacing thermostat. 2009 F150

So I just replaced my thermostat and coolant. Once I was finished I turned my truck on and waited for the heat to come on but it never did. Temp gauge was at about half before I realized my heat wasn’t coming on

Sounds like you might have an air pocket in the system.

Air pocket... Either run it with the coolant bottle cap off in the driveway with the heat on high or get the front end as high as possible and burp it.

Another thing. Once you run it up to temp and let it cool 100%, open the cap and it should drop requiring you to add more coolant.

Otherwise an Airlift is your friend.

Did the heat work prior to replacing the T-stat ?
