Default Heated Seat, Blend Door Problem.

Ok, so I bought a 2010 ford f150 last year with 86000 miles on it and when I got it my heated seat on the drivers side didn't work, Hit the switch and the light would come o n for 30 seconds or so then would shut off, no heat in those 30 seconds, if I hit it again the light comes on for about 2-3 seconds then shuts off...I was thinking element....BUT...

Then my drivers side heat won't change, it just stays at a temp of i'm assuming about 69 degrees or so, no matter what I do on the settings it blows the same, passenger side is correct blows hot or cold correctly. I was thinking drivers side Blend door BUT....

Me and a couple buddies were talking about this situation and we were almost wondering if it could be some sort of electrical problem? since both the seat and drivers side temp aren't working, with less than a hundred thousand miles..is there a relay or can there be a electrical problem that would cause both these problems to occur, or is it just a coincidence and my first thoughts on both subjects are correct with a bad element in the seat and a bad blend door on the drivers side?

Thanks everyone for any help.

I bought a 2010 platinum f150 with 30k on it in October. My driver side heater didn't change temp. It was still under warranty so I took it in. It was a BIG deal to repair. Had to remove the center console and a lot of the dash. I was told that the temp blend door is controlled by a electric motor and it had to be replaced. The dealer had the truck 2 days. They even had to remove the airbag.
I had a dodge that had heated seats and the heater element came unplugged. I plugged it in and it worked.
Good luck !!
