Default Heated/Cooled Seats and Autostart

Okay....I can build a muscle car but this problem is a literal pain in my butt.

2012 Platinum Edition

Clearly states that I can have the vehicle (like my GMC) turn on the heated seats (auto) when I activate the remote start.

I do have it chosen in the dash menu!

At NO TIME do the seats cool, or warm up, while the car is idling with the autostart.

What's the problem?

I am assuming this is the OEM autostart since it's part of the key and not a separate FOB and a key.

Thoughts?

Thanks

What does the owner's manual say? Or your dealer say about when they should turn on?

No doubt but it was 27 this morning and 100 in August. The mystery continues :/)

I thought I read on here that your outside temp reading on the truck has to be below 30 for the heated seats to work. Mine has only turned on twice so far and it has been below 30 more times than that, but my outside temp reading was above 30 just sitting there, but once I got going it would jump down to what it is outside. I will have to look into trying to move the temp sensor to get a better reading.

Yeah on the main menu you can go to options/vehicle/remote start/heated seats/auto or off but I'm not really sure what defines "auto"

One would at a min think that 100 outside temp would turn on the cooled seats.

My heated seats finally starting heating once it got below 30°F using the remote start. The cooling also seemed to only work when it was over about 80°. I have to have the "Auto" button on the dash activated when I leave the truck though.
